I was born in North Tustin, CA and grew up going to church and playing sports my whole life. I attended Orange Lutheran High School and played football and volleyball all four years. I was extremely involved with my church, Red Hill Lutheran Church, attending youth group and going on mission trips. As an athlete, I always tried to use my actions and abilities as a way to worship and give honor for God and not know what it meant playing with God in His grace on the field or court.
I first attended Orange Coast College and played volleyball there for two years. I continued to stay involved with youth ministries as a counselor at Red Hill Lutheran Church. I then transferred to California Baptist University to continue to play volleyball and to grow my walk with Christ. While attending CBU, I experienced a sports mission trip to Brazil with Athletes In Action in 2010 which began the tug on my heart to sports ministry. That summer I met Daniel Rich who was on Staff with FCA Volleyball and since then, I have been apart of that community for the last six years. I experienced three FCA summer camps at UCLA as a Huddle Leader and every year I am amazed of the impact we have with the students lives that come!
Since graduating from CBU, I have continued to be involved with the FCA Volleyball community and had an opportunity to serve as an intern in Northern Ireland for seven months with Salt Factory Sports in 2013 and with Athletes in Action in Costa Rica in 2014. It has become apparent to me that God has called me to serve in sports ministry. With FCA, I am able to reach out to the community I have called home my entire life and become an impact and see the lives of athletes and coaches be changed for Christ and His Kingdom.
