Brendan was raised in Northern, NJ. His household had a very strong foundation built on faith in Jesus Christ. His father is a minister, so Brendan grew up going to every type of church function imaginable. Despite his deep-rooted background in church, sports became the most important thing in his life. Growing up, Brendan tried almost every sport there was. After his sophomore year at Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ, he decided to focus solely on lacrosse.
After high school, Brendan received a lacrosse scholarship from Rutgers University. There he got a degree in Labor Relations and Employment Management. Through many ups and downs while in college, Brendan was challenged by his Athletes and Action campus director to attend the Ultimate Training Camp in Fort Collins, CO. There he encountered Christ personally for the first time. This is also when Brendan learned about the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) through their lacrosse sports specific ministry.
Brendan is passionate about everything that FCA embodies: Christ, athletics, and the relationships built in ministry. He will be the first to tell you that he wishes in high school he had someone in addition to his parents teaching him about Christ and what it means to have a personal relationship with Him. This is why Brendan chose to work full-time with FCA. Brendan's life verse is Colossians 1:10, “Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.”
On July 9, 2011 Brendan married his beautiful wife Jenna. They currently live in Mission Viejo. Brendan and Jenna have two daughters. Their oldest is named Riley, and their younger is Selah. They miss their families on the East Coast, but feel God has brought them to Southern California to share His love.
