It was November of 2003 when I experienced God’s irresistible grace and received Christ as Lord and Savior.
My life leading to that was quite an adventure. I had the pleasure of growing up in Iran, Austria, Italy and Bulgaria. I started playing soccer as a child and after graduating from the American International School of Vienna, Austria I moved to the US and attended Valparaiso University and then the University of Southern Indiana, where I continued to play soccer.
I started coaching youth soccer while I was playing at USI and upon graduation I served as an assistant at my alma mater. I then moved to Louisville, KY in 1996 where I was an assistant coach at the University of Louisville for 2 years and served as one of the directors of coaching at Javanon Soccer Club. Since moving to southern California, I have had the privilege of serving as the Associate Head Soccer Coach at Vanguard University as well as the Athletic Chaplain before I came on staff with FCA.
I married my beautiful wife, Karen, on November 23, 2007 and have two awesome step-daughters, Chelsea and Malia. We attend Crossline Community Church.
The Lord has put a fire in my heart to serve the coaches, student-athletes, staff and students at the University of California –Irvine and to establish collegiate ministry on every 4-year university in Orange County. I am excited to see what He has in store as I start my journey, with your support, in full–time ministry with FCA.
